Singles Ladder(ladder@dellcott.com)

As you may have heard we are planning a Singles Ladder for Dellcott. This has been tried before but with little success. The main reason for this was people signing up but then never playing any games. For that reason the proposals we are making are designed so that people who play will have the benefit of playing lots of matches against lots of different people and those who don't will languish at the bottom of the ladder and their place will be taken by members who are willing to play.

We aim to start the ladder from Saturday 5th September and close on the last weekend in March 2010. The ladder will take a little time to adjust and the randomly picking the ladder might throw up some uneven games at first, but its all experience and a chance to play against and meet new members. This is the first year and we expect some teething troubles but over time we hope the ladder will be easily run and become a good fun club competition for all standards.


So what we need from you is a e mail stating your interest and your details. Ladies please state if you'd prefer to play in a Ladies ladder (if the numbers are there) or a mixed ladder.
We would love as many of you to join the ladder and we will strive to make it a success. This will happen if people play regularly and report the results ASAP.
